Delete in the app
- Open Chapter One and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Go to Profile → Delete account. You can also find Delete account on the subscription screen.
- Read the confirmation and choose Delete. If you use Sign in with Apple, you may be asked to sign in with Apple again to confirm.
Successful deletion is permanent. Save any writing you want to keep first. If deletion fails, the app shows an error; try again or contact us.
Request deletion without the app
You do not need to reinstall the app to contact Velor4 LLC about deleting your Chapter One account and associated data.
Email chapteronesupport@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my Chapter One account”. Include the account email and sign-in method, and tell us whether you want the account deleted or have a more specific data request. If Apple supplied a relay address, include that address if you know it.
Request account & data deletionWe may need to verify that the account belongs to you. We will explain any further steps or lawful retention that applies to your request. Do not send your password, identity documents, or verification codes unless a specific, secure verification process has been agreed.
What is removed and what may remain
Successful in-app deletion removes your authentication account and linked records in our primary app database, including your profile, preferences, saved progress, streak records, notes, reflections, commitments, bookmarks, memorization records, and app subscription-access record.
It does not automatically erase every record held by our analytics, attribution, billing, or other providers. Store transaction records, security logs, support correspondence, and backup copies, where present, may be retained when needed for legal, accounting, security, dispute-resolution, or recovery purposes. Retention depends on the record and provider.
Use the email request above for deletion beyond the app database or to ask what remains. See our Privacy Policy’s retention section for more information.
